Massachusetts runs vocational rehabilitation through the Department of Industrial Accidents and its Office of Education and Vocational Rehabilitation (OEVR), under 452 CMR 4.00. After OEVR screening, the insurer must provide vocational rehabilitation, and the work is performed to an Individual Written Rehabilitation Program — the IWRP. A DIA Trust Fund backs the system, and the DIA publishes its list of certified providers.
The plan is the authorization, and the invoice lives inside it.
In an IWRP state, the approved plan is what makes the work payable — the same relationship authorization has to a bill in Ohio. Work outside the plan is work you may not be paid for, and the invoice is read against the plan rather than against a code set.
What we will not tell you: the current Massachusetts hourly rate. We could not verify one against a DIA publication in July 2026, and a rate you cannot check is worse than no rate at all — you would bill from it.
